Position Overview:
The Director of Marketing is responsible for all aspects of both consumer and customer marketing, by taking ownership of the marketing strategy while driving the initiatives to completion. This position’s responsibilities include bringing our SweetLeaf consumer messaging to life through branding, packaging, design strategy, content creation, communication, education, campaign development, etc. The Director of Marketing will think strategically about driving growth through brand management, marketing strategy, communication and consumer/trade promotions while working in collaboration with Sales, Product Development, Customer Service, Operations and Finance Teams.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Direct all aspects of the brand including communication, packaging design, website management, social media content, marketing materials, trade show management, campaign development, new products, public relations, etc. Direction will include the internal Marketing Manager as well as external agencies and employees.
- Develop comprehensive marketing strategies that focus on driving brand awareness, consumer acquisition, social responsibilities, and revenue growth.
- Work with Vice President Sales and Marketing on identifying brand mix, pricing, promotions, customer and channel strategies. Continuously assess and monitor brand performance within competitive landscape, via analytical assessments, consumption data and internal sales data.
- Develop and manage consumer packaging/products, starting with concept through on-shelf and e-commerce placement. Collaborate with senior management, production and sales with development and timelines to optimize commercialization of new products.
- Work with Marketing Manager to plan, execute, and optimize all social media campaigns and initiatives across website, SEM, paid search, email/SMS, affiliate programs, retargeting advertising, display advertising, social media, loyalty programs, and more.
- Explore new channels for potential growth marketing opportunities, including both performance channels and other possibilities.
- Perform media buys through agencies and directly with advertisers, managing 10+ paid media accounts e.g. Facebook/Instagram Ads, Google/YouTube Ads, LinkedIn Ads, Instacart, and variety of Online Retailers.
- Create and deliver presentations with in-depth analysis on campaign performances. Develop and report on performance metrics to optimize ROAS monthly to be shared internally and externally.
- Work closely with sales team leads to maintain prospecting pipelines for inbound partnerships, paid placements targets, retailer specific programs and seasonal initiatives.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree required, MBA a plus
- Minimum of 5 -7 years’ experience in CPG food or beverage experience preferred. Foundation in traditional CPG marketing while embracing today’s digital marketing
- Team player with a positive and collaborative attitude. Ability to roll-up the sleeves and get the job done at any level
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Pay: $60,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
