About the position:

We are currently seeking a Marketing Coordinator to join our growing marketing team in Arup’s Houston office. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is inspired by the built environment and wants to grow in a fast-paced environment that values innovation, creativity, sustainable development, and digital skills. This is a strategic role with responsibility for proposal direction and content; communication of Arup’s values in the creation, organization, and maintenance of marketing collateral; and contribution to a variety of marketing activities.

The Texas offices work on projects not only in Texas but in other locations in across United States and around the world. Some of the more interesting projects by the Arup Texas offices include:

  • Texas Central High-Speed Rail, Houston to Dallas, TX
  • CHI Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center at McNair Campus, Houston, TX
  • George Bush International Airport (IAH), Mickey Leland International Terminal, Houston, TX
  • Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW), Central Utility Plant, Dallas, TX
  • Downtown Austin Alliance I-35 Project, Austin, TX
  • Busan Sustainable Floating City Prototype, South Korea

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the preparation of competitive proposals, qualification packages and interview presentations.
  • Development of marketing materials including projects sheets, resumes, and other collateral.
  • Participate in pre-interview planning and presentation rehearsal with design teams and help develop and apply the established win strategy, themes, and discriminators in presentation materials.
  • Maintain consistent quality, corporate identity, and graphic standards.
  • Maintain CRM and Share Point databases.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, marketing or a related field
  • At least 5 years of experience as a marketing professional in the A/E/C industry
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office, especially InDesign, Acrobat, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint
  • Ability to effectively set priorities while juggling multiple deadlines, maintaining composure under pressure
  • Experience facilitating and documenting discussions and leading proposal kick-off meetings and color team reviews
  • Involvement with local marketing and or A/E/C organizations and willingness to attend events on behalf of the firm
  • Experience with Microsoft CRM is preferred but not required responsibilities
