Highway Maintenance On-Call Inspector
Reports To: Director of Operations

FLSA Status: Variable Hours, Part-Time, Non-Exempt
Schedule: On-call
Highway Maintenance On-Call Inspector will review Maryland specific highway sections, reviewing areas for litter, damaged signs, and other debris. As part of this review the inspector will provide written details of appearance and photos of location. Each location will be assigned a grade for the location and any issues that you come across.
Work is assigned as needed, but we anticipate approximately 10 to 20 hours a month. We do have some flexibility when roads can be reviewed but must be during daylight hours between 7am and 4pm. We will provide an application that you can load on your phone to locate highway segments and document photos with.
This is a great side hustle for someone looking to make additional money. This project will be in effect for at least 12 months. This would be ideal for retired people, college students and individuals who are looking for a second job.
We pay $22 an hour, and the work is typically 10 to 20 hours a month. This is a part time on-call position.
Requirements:
- Must be 18 years or older and able to lift up to 20lbs independently
- Have reliable transportation and be able to attend scheduled shifts
- On-Call – typically roads will need to be reviewed within 48 hours of notice
- Must be a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
