Master Data Specialist - Customer Enterprise Data - Remote
We have an exciting opportunity on our Enterprise Data Team as a Master Data Specialist - Customer Enterprise Data! This role will be responsible for handling and organizing large amounts of Enterprise Customer data in our new MDM tool, Reltio. This position will help design best practices in usage and create standard operating procedures. You will be tasked with analyzing the data to draw conclusions about the data such as matching, merging and survivorship of various customer records. We are looking for someone who is creative in the way they solve problems, focuses not just on the data, but on adding true business value, creates strong partnerships with various partners and takes ownership of their work.
You will support operations by monitoring and cleansing Enterprise Customer data, key data, and Enterprise Customer data relationships within the organization. This could include:
  • Identifying trends and patterns and making recommendations on how best to use data moving forward
  • Ensuring Enterprise customer data integrity in key ERP systems as well as maintaining the processes to support the data quality
  • Identifying areas for data quality improvements and help to resolve data quality problems through the appropriate choice of error detection and correction, process control and improvement, or process design strategies.
Responsibilities:
  • Research, validate, and standardize data to support Enterprise customer needs and company growth objectives
  • Analyze data to identify patterns and trends that may indicate problems with existing process or opportunities for improvements
  • Communicate internally and with third parties to provide feedback & recommend business process changes
  • Take ownership of issues and follow through to ensure issues are resolved in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Build and maintain close working relationships with operations, governance, and the business
  • Apply critical thinking in reviewing vendor/third-party provided data in various formats for accuracy
  • Understand internal and external customer data needs and expectations for information
  • Ensure data collected supports the needs of business partners
  • Perform recurring and ad hoc audits to ensure enrichment of key data gaps and to support online presentation
  • Call out data quality issues to the Data Stewards.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a business field or equivalent work experience required
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience working with/manipulating data required
  • Proficiency in Excel required
  • Demonstrated ability to complete established goals with limited mentorship
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Exhibits awareness of data governance/management concepts
