What We Are Looking For
G+D has an exciting opportunity for a Material Handler in our Bolingbrook, IL facility. This is a 2nd shift position working Monday - Friday 1:30 p.m.-10:00 pm with occasional overtime. We are looking for a positive and experienced worker looking for a long-term position that enjoys physical work, guiding staff, and ensuring results. The successful candidate will also enjoy taking on new duties as the role progresses.
What You Will Do
- Assemble and transfer materials, supplies and products to work stations in the manufacturing facility.
- Ensure each work station has sufficient amount of raw materials to avoid work stoppage.
- Use a forklift and other equipment to move material throughout the manufacturing facility.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
What Is Required
- Previous experience working in a manufacturing or warehouse environment in material handling.
- Forklift experience is required - certification is also strongly preferred.
- Understanding and willingness to follow specific safety guidelines.
- Operate a forklift, pallet jack, or similar equipment to transfer material.
- Follow safety procedures at all times when operating equipment and transferring materials.
- Load and unload trucks that come to the facility.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Willingness to work overtime as needed.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
- Positive attitude and team player.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
