POSITION TITLE: Material Handler - 2nd Shift

REPORTS TO: Distribution Supervisor

LOCATION: Victorville, CA

POSITION SUMMARY: Effectively perform the operation of powered industrial equipment for the purpose of loading, unloading, moving, locating, relocating, and stacking product.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Drives a forklift or other PIT equipment during loading and unloading of trailers and or containers
• Ability to read shipping orders and packing list information provided by vendor
• Uses computer and computerized equipment such as scanners for accurate product placement
• Utilize SAP to make movements of finished goods/components for inventory
• Have all packing materials ready and available prior to pre-packing and staging of an order
• Manually load containers/LTL shipments with a pallet jack or by hand as needed.
• Work in a safe manner, follow all safety rules and report any potential safety hazards to management
• Participate in continuous improvement and safety initiatives as directed
• Perform all other duties as assigned
• All job functions to be completed in compliance with federal, state, local regulations, company guidelines and policies

REQUIREMENTS/EDUCATION LEVEL:

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Complete and pass required medical screening.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY:

• Strong organizations skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize a busy workload
• Ability to follow and comply with all building safety rules and policies
• Ability to read shipping orders and packing list information provided by vendor
• Must be self-motivated and team oriented
• Ability to read and write English
• Ability to wrap product and label product quickly
• Able to keep work area clean and organized

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be able to sit, stand, or walk up to 8 hours a day
• Must be able to frequently carry (up to 30 feet each time) up to 60 lbs
• Have full range of motion of the waist and neck
• Have unrestricted use of upper extremities and preform over-head reaching
• Frequently bend (to the floor), twist, and kneel
• Ability to work in a non- temperature-controlled environment.
