Material Handler/Forklift Operator Job at JIT Synergy
Metals manufacturing company in the Carpentersville area is looking for Material Handlers for the 1st shift.
Responsibilities:
· Supply correct component parts to all work areas
· Check all material against the order part description and bill of material to assure that it is correct, prior to placing it at a machine
· Distribute the proper quantity of material to machine workstations
· Have component parts in que and ready for next assembly work order
· Change out component parts on every line maintaining the department’s Hr. Rate
· Return leftover component parts to stock
· Reweigh or count parts going back into inventory
· Looks for similar parts in inventory and consolidate to minimize quantity of bins in stock
· Move completed skids to the proper location in staging area
· Ensure all machines are re-stocked for the next shift
· Operate all material handling equipment in a safe and responsible manner
· Help prepare pallets, cartons ect.
· Perform daily 5S clean up
· Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
· High School diploma or GED
· 3 year of Material Handler experience within a manufacturing facility
· Sit down and Stand up experience required
· Must posses the ability to read and comprehend in English- read and understand order part description and bill of material
· Must posses the ability to add and subtract
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
