Blue Mountain Deer Processing is a seasonal deer processing business located in Enola not far from Mechanicsburg. We process 1200+ deer every Fall & Winter for hunters across central Pennsylvania. We are a full service processor and in addition to the handling the entire butchering process for our customers we make a wide range of Fresh & Smoked Venison products. We pride ourselves on providing a high quality product for our customers which has made us the fastest growing and now the largest deer processor in the area.
We are seeking to hire enthusiastic individuals for the 2022 deer hunting season. The job will start early October 2022 and go thru February or December of 2022. There is opportunity for repeat work during the same season yearly.
What You Will Do
- Cutting/Butchering of deer carcass's using boning knife. All cuts are boned by hand, no Band saw.
- Bagging & Vacuum Sealing all Fresh Cuts
- Clean up your cutting table & area when finished for the day.
Other Job Requirements
- Work with raw meat
- Being able to lift 60+ lbs.
- Wear latex gloves while handling food products
- Handle working in cool & cold temperatures
- Be on your feet up to 8 hours
- Ability to work in a fast team environment
- Listen & follow direction
- Pride in your work & strive to do quality work
- Open availability Monday thru Friday
- 18 or older
- Attention to detail
- Speed & Accuracy
Experience
- You must have some experience as a butcher or meat cutter at some capacity. We will train you on breaking down a deer.
Job Types: Part-time, Temporary
Pay: $20.00 - $50.00 per hour
