Mainly Be Responsible For:

• Perform routine, emergency and preventative maintenance of forklifts and non-diesel equipment in assigned business unit.
• Interpret manufacturer's technical manuals to provide the necessary maintenance and needed repairs.
• Troubleshoot forklift problems to include brakes, electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Detect imperfections, potential problems, safety issues and/or malfunctions
• Work on LP systems.
• Replace broken or defective parts from stock parts and/or order replacement parts for major repairs.
• Reassemble forklifts and make all necessary adjustments for effective and safe operation.
• Investigate root cause of any issues that arise and recommend processes to prevent future issues.
• Perform safety inspection of forklifts prior to being released back to the work floor.
• Keep up to date with changing technology and techniques.
• Stand up to 80% of the day and lift up to 50 pounds.

The Successful Candidate Will Possess the Following:

• Must be 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma with advanced training or schooling
• Two years in maintenance of various lift trucks such as Hyster, CAT, Linde and Yale with lift ratings up to 12,000 lbs.
• Solid foundation of mechanical aptitude and knowledge of industrial electricity up to 440 volts preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Demonstrated effective communication and organizational skills.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, typically 5:00am-1:00pm. This position may require additional hours and/or weekend work as necessary.

Travel: Travel is primarily local during the business day to other RGL locations.
