Mechanical Design Engineer | Pay: $100k DOE
Hours: M-F 8am-5pm

PRIMARY FUNCTION Performing mechanical design of shell and tube heat exchangers.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform mechanical design calculations for heat exchangers.
- Create dimensional sketches of exchangers.
- Perform final design of tube layout.
- Maintain and care for computer system.
- Issue drawings and other output data internally and to customer.
- Verify that all drawings and calculations meet the requirements of ASME code, TEMA standard, and any other applicable codes or standards.
- Validate that drawings and calculations meet all user-defined needs and specifications.
- Assist in training new design and drafting personnel.
- Assist Manager of Mechanical Engineering with basic managerial duties.
- Assist in resolving fabrication problems relating to detail drawing. Assist in creating, implementing, and maintaining the quality management system within the company.
- Maintain Computer Verification Log.
- Assist Quality Inspection Department and Purchasing in resolving material related problems
EDUCATIONAL CHARACTERISTICS
- Education — skills and training acquired through schools, seminars, military, or other formal programs including the ability to read, write, reason, question, and explain minimal level of education required for a reasonable chance of success in this position is a college degree
