Job Summary:

CORYS Inc. seeks an engineer to join its team in Jacksonville, FL. This is a full-time, entry-level (temporary) position working in our Power Plant Simulation group.

Job Duties:

As the successful candidate, you will utilize your knowledge of engineering to develop, analyze, and maintain software models of fluid/electrical systems using CORYS’ proprietary model development environment. You will also be tasked with a variety of engineering tasks required to complete complex assignments associated with customer projects.

Your excellent interpersonal skills will allow you to work in a team environment and establish a climate of confidence leading to the success of your projects. You are autonomous, organized and rigorous. You have an understanding of the importance of customer relationships. You are able to analyze complex problems and reach conclusions on how to move forward with solutions. Short-term travel to customer locations may be required to attend project meetings and to support customers in testing of the software models.

Qualifications & skills:

· B.S. of Nuclear, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering or related discipline

· Strong academic and work background in thermo-fluids or electrical theory.

· Experience with numerical methods related to mathematical modeling.

· Experience in usage of C++ and FORTRAN computer languages

· Excellent computer skills in the Windows operating system environment

· Work in close alignment with overall engineering management structure and follow engineering best practices.

· Good organizational skills – ability to meet deadlines; team player with the ability to work within a diverse collaborative environment

· Proficient in English usage for oral and written technical communications.

· You must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Pay: $30.00 - $34.00 per hour
