Shift: 9am-5pm 1st shift
Pay Rate: $23-$28 /hr pay out weekly.
Major Purpose:
The purpose of the Mechanical Inspector is to utilize the necessary tools to maintain the highest quality standards for our products. This position is responsible for approving incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products, and recording quality results.
Major functions:
- Responsible for inspection of products at various stages of the production process in accordance with the company’s procedures for safety and quality.
- Uses various measuring devices to accept, reject, and reevaluate defective or malfunctioning units or systems.
- Works from blueprints, diagrams, dial indicators, micrometers, scales, fixtures, customer specifications, drawings, or inspection instructions and checklists as applicable.
- Reads and interprets the requirements of drawings and plans.
- Analyzes drawing requirements and makes sound determination(s) of the appropriate inspection method/equipment to be used for product acceptance.
- Tests, measures, and analyzes mechanical products.
- Uses all inspection/test equipment to include the usage of a Coordinate Measurement Machine (CMM) in determining product acceptance.
- Constructs complex inspection set-up(s) and perform required inspections (using set-up) to determine product acceptance.
- Is able to initiate and complete all quality (Inspection) related records and documents with minimal supervision.
- Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures, and complying with legal regulations.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading technical publications.
- Accomplishes quality and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Experience is preferred in the following areas. Without experience, this position requires the willingness and ability to learn and/or become certified:
- Weld Inspections
- Calibration
- Electrical products such as components, circuit boards (IPC-610) and cables (IPC-620)
- Fork Lifts
- High Work
- Must be able to use calipers, micrometers, height gage, and other small hand tools.
- Must have experience with CMMs.
- Must be proficient with surface plate set ups.
- Must be proficient with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
Education/Experience/Licenses etc.:
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent and a minimum of six (6) years of experience performing critical and complex inspection are required.

Salary: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour
