Mechanical Technician Job at Engineer Procure Construct (EPC)

Engineer Procure Construct (EPC) Cripple Creek, CO

Location:

Within 50 mi. of Cripple Creek, CO

Purpose:

Provide EPC services to the mining industry in the West with focus on Newmont Gold
CC&V.

Scope:

Performing day to day maintenance, new equipment installation and perform with other construction services.

Relationships:

Routine communication with EPC: procurement, customer service, engineers and project development personnel.

Responsibilites:

  • 1. Welding

1.1. Competent to weld common grades of steel and pass inspections.

  • 2. Proper equipment installation

2.1. Capable of understanding equipment installation instructions and executing installation properly.

  • 3. Read and interpret engineering drawings

3.1. Understanding common equipment and construction drawings will be required.

  • 4. Engage in training

4.1. Periodically engage in training with manufacturers of equipment offered by EPC.

Also, routine safety training.

  • 5. Understand and follow safety protocols

5.1. It is imperative to fully understand and follow MSHA regulations and guidelines as well as clients’ site-specific requirements.

  • 6. Transporting equipment and materials

6.1. Periodically transport equipment and fabrication for EPC projects. Follow DOT regulations.

  • 7. Learn maintenance processes

7.1. There will be certain equipment that clients want maintained by EPC. This will require understanding the equipment assembly and maintenance procedures prescribed by the manufacturer.

  • 8. Operating basic construction equipment

8.1. This may involve fork lifts, man lifts, welding machines and other common construction equipment.

  • 9. Capable of working at heights safely

9.1. Occasionally it is necessary to work at heights strictly following the MSHA and client guidelines.

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Employee should be capable of all activities to varying degrees on a daily basis:

  • Ability to work 40 – 55 hours per week.
  • Ability to travel up to 25 percent of the time.
  • Ability to lift up to a minimum of 51 pounds on an individual basis.
  • Manual dexterity
  • Physically able to hear, see, speak, reach, climb, carry, stoop, and walk as well as lift.
  • Ability to work in an office/warehouse environment on a daily basis.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
