Hiring Salary Range: $21.25 - $22.22/Hourly

THIS POSITION LOCATED IN KNOXVILLE, TENNESSEE.

JOB SUMMARY/ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Under the direction of an assigned supervisor this position will develop and monitor the organizational structure with the Director, Assistant Director, Chairman and faculty so that the Department of General Dentistry will be productive and cost effective while supporting excellence in patient care and resident education.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintains requirements, accreditation guidelines, and correspondence with CODA.
  • Prepares day to day coordination of resident call schedules, lectures, and patient care.
  • Develops, update, and maintain resident manuals for orientation, quarterly evaluations, general info.
  • Prepares quarterly evaluations of residents for completion by teaching faculty.
  • Prepares yearly rotation schedule, monthly call schedule and submit to departments for off service rotations.
  • Ensures rotation evaluations are submitted and returned for rotations.
  • Monitors academic budget and tracking system for resident activities (academic and clinical).
  • Assists with resident recruitment, set and confirm interviews, and acceptance.
  • Develops, implement, and monitor tracking system of evaluator goals and objectives.
  • Serves as liaison to other departments and committees, admin meetings.
  • Prepares and maintain faculty appointments, evaluations, and updated information for faculty.
  • Schedules Journal Club meetings, attendance, topics communicated.
  • Develops and plan continuing education courses for the department.
  • Performs other related duties assigned.


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree (Master’s Degree preferred). (TRANSCRIPT REQUIRED)

EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years’ experience in administration or customer service. (Prior experience with accreditation, project management, government regulations, or higher education preferred).

  • Advanced computer skills.
  • Ability to lead and direct support staff with secretarial and clerical duties.
  • Effective communication and organizational skills.
  • Accounting and supervisory skills.
  • Ability to multi-task in a busy office environment.
