Busy Internal Medicine practice seeking a Medical Assistant to join our team. Monday-Friday 8-5
This is a back office clinical/triage position. Duties and responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Obtain vitals for each patient prior to physician encounter
- Triage patients either via telephone or in-person
- Perform EKGs
- Perform CLIA Waived testing and prepare requisitions for laboratory requests
- Administer injections/immunizations
- Process prescriptions requests
- Retrieve records/diagnostic results
- Perform Nurse Lab Duties which autoclave for sterilization of instruments
- Stock exam room
- Prior Authorizations
- Phone Triage
- DME orders
- Clinical Admin Tasks
Minimum two year experience in a healthcare setting required. Athena experience a plus but not required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour

- EMR systems: 1 year (Preferred)
- Vital signs: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- BLS Certification (Preferred)
- Certified Medical Assistant (Preferred)
