When the hospital is completed this coming fall, NPVMC will provide the most up to date medical campus in Southeastern Wyoming. In addition to a 24-hour emergency room, NPVMC will offer advanced imaging including ultrasound, X-Ray, digital mammography, CT, Dexa Scan, and mobile MRI capabilities. The CAH features an inpatient pharmacy, laboratory services, and physical/occupational therapy. Staffed with both full time physician and mid-level providers, the hospital will provide a healthcare solution that services the community and offers convenience to medical services.

Position Summary

  • The Medical Laboratory Technician/Medical Technologist is responsible for analyzing various chemical, microscopic and bacteriologic tests to provide physicians with pertinent information regarding the patient's health under the supervision of the Medical Technologist or Pathologist.

Essential Functions

  • Collects specimens
  • Performs specimen analysis and other tasks and procedures in hematology. urinalysis, serology, chemistry, blood banking, and microbiology.
  • Reports analysis results appropriately
  • Other duties as assigned

Education

  • Possess a bachelor's degree or higher in chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science, or medical technology from an accredited institution, OR
  • Associates degree in Medical Laboratory Technology.

Experience

  • Two years of related hospital experience preferred

Credentials

  • Must meet CLIA required qualifications for High Complexity Testing
  • The ideal candidate will be certified or registry eligible for certification with the ASCP and obtain certification within six (6) months of hire

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $41,500.00 - $52,000.00 per year
