Summary: The Medical Receptionist serves as the primary point of contact for all patients.

Illinois Dermatology Institute is seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist for our Park Ridge office. This is a hands-on position requires a highly self-directed, proven problem-solver with excellent leadership experience and great communication skills.

The successful candidate will be strong, positive, forward thinking, and innovative with the drive to lead continuous improvement strategies to the highest standards of productivity and patient service.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Description includes, but is not limited to the items below

· Scheduling

· Handle inbound and outbound calls

· Review and update patient demographics and insurance

· Insurance verification and referral coordination

· Make outbound recalls to former patients to re-establish patient care

· Prior Authorization

· Medical Record Requests

· Route calls to the appropriate department

· Accurate documentation in patient's EM.

· Process and/or distribute faxes

Education and Experience:

· 1 year experience in call center or medical office

· EMR experience preferred
