Our busy medical practice is currently seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Part-Time Medical Scribe to assist our healthcare team with documenting patient medical records. The successful applicant will be responsible for documenting accurate and detailed information of patient visits. The ideal candidate will provide the highest quality customer service to patients, adhere to practice protocols and processes, and effectively manage the volume of work without allowing quality to be compromised. Responsibilities:
- Facilitate diagnostic tests and referrals to medical specialists
- Assist the physician with fundamental patient care
- Prepare patient charts for all new patients and follow up appointments for existing patients
- Review all medical records for pertinent medical history
- Request medical records as needed or requested by the Provider
- Communicate to clinical staff members regarding patient’s treatment plan as needed
- Assist in day to day front office duties when needed
Skills:
- Experience with medical terminology
- Excellent computer skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Preferably a college student with medical/science background. Aspiring medical student preferred.
