MLT: $25 - $43 - DOE
MT: $28 - $50 - DOE
Medical Technologist, Generalist Job Description:
- Medical Technologist, Generalist is a full-time permanent position
- Performs, interprets, and correlates clinical laboratory tests by following protocols to assist in the physician diagnosis and treatment of illness and disease
- Expected to utilize complex problem-solving skills in resolving clinicial and instrument problems
- Adheres to all Laboratory policies and procedures, including Compliance, HIPAA, CQI, OSHA, state licensing and accreditation guidelines.
- Operates and maintains instruments in proper working order. Adheres to quality control protocols policies and procedures. Participates in validation of new/existing assays and instruments. Troubleshoots and reports problems as needed

- Opportunities available in several different departments within the lab, including blood bank, hematology, etc.
Medical Technologist, Generalist Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Medical Technology or a related filed required.
- Successful completion of a NAACLS accredited Medical Laboratory Scientist program
- Medical Technologist, Generalist preferred to have 1-2 years of experience in chemistry, blood bank, hematology and microbiology or formal student internship
- Certification at MT by American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) or CLS by National Accrediting Agency (NCA)
- Must be capable of working independently and providing direction to Medical Laboratory Assistants.
- Proficiency in HHC Computer systems, i.e. EPIC, SunQuest, CoPath preferred but not required
- Ability to provide excellent customer service skills and exhibit a professional attitude
