*POSITION SUMMARY*
**
The Medical Technologist contributes to the diagnosis, treatment, and care of patients by the accurate performance and reporting of laboratory testing procedures on blood and body fluids. The position will work in the Core Laboratory and will provide coverage in Hem/Coag/Urine and/or Chemistry Departments.
*QUALIFICATIONS*
**
MEDICAL TECHNOLOGIST
Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or related coursework with successful completion of clinical rotation in medical laboratory
Certification from AMT or ASCP in Medical Technology, Med Lab Science or a related specialty.
Tennessee State License preferred, not required.
Additional qualifications
Strong organizational skills and problem solving capabilities required. Experience as a Medical Technician or Medical Technologist and good computer skills preferred.

Experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The minimum pay rate is $26.00 per hour. Weekend shift pay $5.00 per hour, Night Shift Diff $3.00 per hour Total = minimum of $34.00 per hour.
