Friendship is looking for qualified and self-motivated Registered Medication Aide /Certified Nurse Aides / Activities Assistant to join our Friendship Adult Medical Daycare team. The position is responsible for providing assistance to day care residents for basic and activities related functions. These are Monday through Friday positions, no weekends, no holidays.

Shifts Available:
  • FT position - Shift available 9:00 am to 5:30 p.m.
Qualifications:
  • Must be a licensed CNA in the state of VA or if not certified, must be able to provide a training certificate from a board approved program.
  • Must be a licensed Registered Medication Aide (RMA) in the state of VA
  • Adult First Aid/CPR and AED required. Friendship can provide training
  • Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public
  • Must have knowledge of and an interest in geriatrics; and must have a good understanding of medical terminology
  • High school diploma or GED required.
Responsibilities:
  • Assist participants with personal care including toileting and bathing
  • Participate in development of new and interesting programs based on participant interest
  • Maintain accurate records according to licensure regulations
  • Comply with all requirements set forth in the individual participant care plan
  • Participate in maintain an accurate care plan
  • Assist with ambulation, sitting, standing with or without the use of medical equipment and toileting
  • Measure and record vital signs, height and weight as required
  • Lead small and large activities programs that encourage and promote independence and well-being
  • Maintain a clean and safe activity area
