*12 HOUR SHIFT
Essential Job Duties
We are currently seeking to fill a position for a Medication Aide. This entry-level position requires individuals to dispense medications and aids in supervising and training patients, as well as assisting healthcare providers with daily tasks. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented and has a strong medical background.
1.Prepares and observes medication to residents in accordance with facilityguidelines and other laws and regulations.
2.Confirms identity of residents prior to observing medications; charts drug, dosage and time of administration.
3.Identifies inaccuracies in medication or other treatments and seeks guidance of an LPN or RN.
4.When required, monitors and records vitals signs upon observationof medication.
5.Tracks, orders and reorders medications based on facilityguidelines; works with pharmaceutical company to return medications in accordance with state and federal regulations.
6. Assists residents in daily routine of personal care as specified by facility guidelines.
