Mental Health Tech - Covington County (Full Time and Part Time) Job at South Central AL Mental Health Center
Work with consumers, in a residential setting, recently discharged from an intensive program of treatment. Individuals will train consumers in basic living skills and clearly document progress on treatment goals. Individuals must have the ability to organize, as well as to set and enforce behavioral limits, work independently and/or as a team member, and possess maturity, sense of confidence and emotional stability. Must have physical strength necessary to implement Managing Crisis Safely (MCS) interventions, ability to lift up to 85 pounds or greater, ability to push/pull up to 150 pounds or greater and be able to sit, stand, walk, reach, bend, and stoop as required to assist in consumer care during shift of duty. Must have HS Diploma or GED. MUST BE ABLE TO WORK NIGHTS, WEEKENDS AND HOLIDAYS; current driver’s license and must have driver’s license for the last three years with an excellent driving record, eligibility for coverage under center liability insurance and individually held vehicle liability insurance and clear background check.
