Education/Training
Master’s degree from an accredited program in Social Work, Mental Health, or Marriage and Family Therapy is required.
Licensure/Certification
A valid and active Florida State (Chapter 491 Florida Statutes) licensure, Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental
Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). Must be a qualified supervisor as defined by Rule
Chapter 64B4, F.A.C (http://floridamentalhealthlaw.com/FAC64B43.html).
Experience
Six (6) years of advanced clinical experience preferable in a health or mental health setting. Experience to include four (4) years of
clinical supervision.

Responsibilities:
Essential Functions
- Ensures effective recruitment, selection, orientation, development, supervision and evaluation of professional (and support) staff
- When necessary, in collaboration with the manager, provides problem performance counseling and initiates disciplinary action
- Ensures all patient care activities support established clinical standards of care and are in compliance with various regulatory
- Promotes and models appropriate professional behavior as described in the Code of Conduct.
- Demonstrates a passion for service excellence and commitment to “Patient First” goals.
- Participates in or leads various committees, or task forces in the department, hospital and/or community.
- Builds and maintains effective partnership and relationships with other healthcare teams.
- Develops high performance teams.
- Conducts regular supervision for team members.
- Provides training and consultative services to the healthcare team regarding mental health issues.
- Appropriately works with manager to determine fiscal requirements and assist in budget preparation.
- Monitors and verifies expenditure of budget funds to meet program budget as appropriate.
- Maintains relevant statistics and reports.
- Manages various personnel functions including hiring, work assignments, coaching plans, and disciplinary actions.
- Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state
- Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.
- In the absence of the manager, provides coverage to the department.
- In conjunction with the manager, provides primary supervision back up to weekend and evening staff.
- Effectively and efficiently uses human resources, time, equipment and supplies.
- Provides coverage for other clinicians or supervisors as needed.
- Is a member of the Patient and Family Counseling Council.
- Provides direct patient/family interventions when determined necessary.
- Maintains level of knowledge of expertise in the leading edge developments in the field of the profession.
Education/Training
