Merchandiser (Edgar/Vermilion Counties) Job at Skeff Distributing Company, Inc
Skeff Distributing Company, Inc. is now actively hiring Merchandisers for our Edgar and Vermillion market. The Merchandiser position is important for Skeff Distributing as this position, in many ways, is the last Skeff representative to touch the product prior to the consumer. The merchandiser is responsible for organizing, rotating and stocking shelves at each assigned account as well as building and maintaining displays in ways that are visually appealing to our valued customers and consumers.
Job Description
- Build and maintain Skeff Distributing products on displays
- Organize, rotate, and stock shelves at each assigned account
- Responsible for assisting in the daily upkeep of products in each assigned account
- Follow proper procedure for managing out of stocks at retail accounts
- Responsible for completion of all daily paperwork
Minimum Qualifications
- 18 years of age
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to lift, load, unload, and move products weighing up to 180 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the job.
- Communication skills
- Basic math skills
- Possesses organizational and follow-through abilities
- Available and willing to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
- Beverage industry experience
- Knowledge of basic Illinois Liquor Laws
- Knowledge of territory
- Knowledge of product portfolio
- Merchandising Experience
Wage and Benefits
- Schedule: Five to six days per week, Monday through Saturday
- Starting Wage: $14.50/ hour + mileage reimbursement and time and a half for overtime
- Benefits: Health Insurance, 401 K, sick time, and paid time off after 1 year of service
