About the Job

Our team is growing, and Marcon Metal USA (www.marconmetal.com) is hiring first and second shift Metal Fabricators to join our dynamic team based out of Ferndale, WA, fabricating our custom-designed structural steel assemblies.

Duties include:

• Plan and prepare jobs, create layouts.
• Read, analyze and interpret shop drawings.
• Safely rig components for lifting.
• Fabricate, assemble, and inspect components.
• Tack weld fabricated assemblies for welders to finish.
• Other duties as required.

Shift available:

• 1st (Day) Shift - Monday to Friday (Five 8-Hour shifts with 30-minute unpaid lunch) - 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.
• 2nd (Afternoon) Shift - Monday to Thursday (Four 10-Hour shifts with 30-minute unpaid lunch) - 3:15 pm to 1:45 am.

Skills and Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience working in a steel manufacturing environment.
• Experience with fitting/fabricating structural steel, plate work, and custom fabrications.
• Experience with steel fabrication techniques, steel grades, and shapes.
• Experience maximizing the utilization of materials and minimizing waste of materials.
