You'll have...
- Passion and thought leader for social mobility (providing essential services to communities focused on hunger relief and community resource centers) development and support of hometown programming
- 5+ years developing and maintaining relationships with key internal/external customers
- 5+ years program management execution experience, with experience working across organizations to coordinate activities/implementation
- 3+ years of experience coordinating or managing employees
- Proven leadership in Design Thinking, strategy development, and program execution
- 2+ years in Budget management with exceptional budgeting skills
- 2+ years in conducting research and data analysis
- Ability to think strategically and work across a range of business units
- Experience with external community engagement
- Ability to travel as needed
Even better, you may have...
- 3+ years of experience with non-profit organizations and/or community engagement initiatives (or related job training or nonprofit areas in a non-volunteer capacity)
- Experience engaging community and building out community resource centers
- Self-starter with attention to detail and a process mentality
- Strong leadership and execution skills (self-initiative and excellent delivery by engaging and driving team members)
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Critical thinking skills and problem-solving abilities
- Substantive understanding of the issues being advocated

- You will be able to play an impact on the community through working directly for the philanthropic arm of one of the most recognizable brands in the world.
- You will oversee a team of company and contract employee in the effective delivery of essential services across the United States.
- You will play a key role in programming, volunteerism, and grantmaking, working directly with the government and community do achieve such goals.
What you'll do...
- Strategic development and oversight of Social Mobility initiatives for the Ford Fund, with a focus on providing essential hunger relief services and community resource center development in Michigan
- Utilize design thinking skillset to partner with Ford Fund Senior Managers to collaborate programming across Ford Fund focus areas to drive maximum impact to the community
- Lead strategy and execution of Hometown (Detroit area & Washington D.C.) and Executive granting efforts
- Engage with select Ford manufacturing communities in Michigan (Marshall) to listen, strategize, design and implement Ford Resource & Engagement Centers with strong non-profit partner operational oversight and programming. (Ford Resource and Engagement Centers are a Ford Fund innovation that brings nonprofit partners together in a collaborative environment to support surrounding communities.)
- Oversee and strengthen non-profit partner relationships at two Detroit based Community Resource Centers
