Newomics has an immediate opening for a full-time Microfluidics Engineer. Newomics will provide a comprehensive compensation package including salary, equity, and benefits such as PTO, medical/dental/vision and 401(k) plan.

Job Summary/Essential Functions:

As a key member of the R&D team in a fast-growing startup company, conducts basic and applied research projects, and supports product development and commercialization.

Essential Functions:

• Develop and perform prototyping and functional testing of microfluidic devices.
• Design, build, assemble, and test robust fluidic and microfluidic systems for biomedical applications.
• Perform simulations and experiments for system evaluation and characterization.
• Develop interfaces and integrated modules from product perspective.
• Explore new technologies and create solutions to improve current fluidic systems.

Qualifications

• PhD or MS degree in Mechanical Engineering, Bioengineering, Systems Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of 2+ years of industrial experience in product development and manufacture of bio-microfluidic consumables
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and as a team
• Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment
• Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship
