The Green Bay Area Catholic Education (GRACE) school system is a 23-parish collaborative educational ministry that operates nine preschool through eighth grade schools (one of which also offers a high school) serving the greater Green Bay area. Formed in 2008, this school system serves more than 2,000 students. GRACE’s neighborhood schools are geographically distributed in the area with strong connections to the area parishes and the broader community.

Position Summary

This position is responsible for fostering a safe, welcoming, positive learning environment for all students and co-workers and providing lessons that meet or exceed state, local, and school standards. This position is located at St. John the Baptist and St. Thomas More Catholic Schools in Green Bay. This position has a 50/50 split between the two schools within the GRACE system. We are seeking a positive, energetic, and faith-filled person to join our team!

Essential Functions:

Instruction
Prepares daily lesson plans in all subject areas
Prepares instructional activities allowing for individual differences among students in the classroom
Integrates cross-curriculum instruction when possible
Integrates technology into daily lesson plans
Provides a safe, comfortable, productive learning environment that encourages and challenges students spiritually, academically, physically, and socially

Supervising
Supervises all students, to foster a safe environment

Professional
Participates in activities that promote professional growth and development
Maintains current certifications and licensures
Reads and agrees to follow policies and procedures as defined in the handbook

Qualifications and Education Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited college or university
Current Wisconsin Teaching License
Submission to a legal background check
Excels in communication
Proficient in MS suite and quick to learn new programs
Ability to self-motivate
Ability to work in a busy environment

Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, sit, and frequently bend or twist at the neck and trunk. The employee will use the hands to feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee must occasionally exert or lift up to 40 pounds. Successful performance requires specific vision abilities that include close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision
