The ideal candidate will demonstrate a collaborative spirit, a child-centered approach, positive and effective classroom management skills, and the ability to meld the teachings of literature, writing, and the study of history to present engaging cross-curricular lessons.
The ability to guide students to analyze the causes, effects, and impacts of historical events through the study of literature, primary sources, and field experiences and to communicate their understanding through well-crafted writing is a must.
Two to three years of experience teaching and Middle School students is preferred.
