Middle School Math Teacher - 7th/8th Job at Teach Iowa
The Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn community school district is looking for qualified applicants to fill a 1.0 FTE 7th/8th Grade Math Teacher position for the 2023-2024 school year. The qualified applicant will be responsible to teach middle school Math classes. Specific classes will be discussed after learning about the candidate's qualifications. The HMS district has adopted Illustrative Mathematics as its mathematics curriculum for most of our math classes.
HMS Middle School serves approximately 200 students in grades 5-8 and is located in Sanborn, Iowa. It is a PBIS school and the HMS School District uses the PLC Model of collaboration to collect data and plan for student success. Thanks to a very supportive community, HMS Middle School opened a brand new building in the 2021-2022 school year that encourages staff and student collaboration. We are located in beautiful Northwest Iowa, just 40 minutes south of the Minnesota border and the Iowa Great Lakes/Okoboji area, 70 minutes from Sioux City and 90 minutes from Sioux Falls!
HMS offers a very competitive starting salary and benefit package. Salary and benefits will be discussed based on the candidate's qualifications and experience.
