*Welder - Megafactory* Location: Lathrop, CA 700 D'Arcy Pkwy *Position Description:* * Repair or assemble pieces or products using a variety of tools and equipment according to equipment specifications. *Responsibilities:* * Read, interpret, and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, weld symbols, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately create equipment and products * Ability to design and build basic and/or complex structures, supports or framework in the execution of daily tasks. * Ability to Weld using ARC, MIG processes. * Ability to perform oxy/acetylene torch, plasma arc cutting processes * Utilize handheld tools such as a handheld screw gun, drill gun, and grinders * Operate calipers, weld gauges, tape measures, and other welding hand tool * Maintain inventory of manufacturing product and welding consumables * Create specific weldment set-ups and fixturing to meet geometric requirements * Perform quality work checks to ensure the product meets quality standards * Identify equipment defects and complete appropriate documentation when defects are identified * Rework and/or repair welded parts and products according to engineering specification changes * Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures * Prioritize workflow through effective communication with management staff * Maintain a clean and safe work area *Requirements:* * 1-3 years MIG welding experience * 1-3 years’ experience operating in a similar capacity within a manufacturing or relatable facility * Basic reading skills and must be able to follow directions * Basic computer navigation and utilization skills preferred * Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly * Ability to find issues in a work process and receive safety signals using sight, touch and hearing * Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problem * High attention to detail and self-motivation skills * Specific technical or vocational training or certification preferred * Work in a team environment and respect all teammates Physical demands and abilities * Regularly lift 30-50 pounds * Regularly perform repetitive tasks * Regularly possess manual dexterity to put parts or pieces together quickly and accurately * Ability to operate a fork-lift and an overhead crane *Employee Benefits:* * As a full time Tesla employee, you will receive full benefits from day 1 for you and your dependents. * Kaiser and UnitedHealthcare PPO and HSA plans (including infertility coverage) * 3 medical plan choices with $0 paycheck contribution * Vision & dental plans (including orthodontic coverage) * Company paid Life, AD&D, short-term and long-term disability 401(k), Employee Stock Purchase Plans, and other financial benefits Employee Assistance Program, Paid Time Off, and Paid Holidays * Back-up childcare and employee discounts
