CALIBRE Systems, Inc., an Employee-Owned Management Consulting and Digital Transformation company, is seeking an individual who will support missions of the National Guard Bureau (NGB) J8. The analyst will possess strong action officer skills and expertise within aspects of one or more areas described in the Joint Strategic Planning System (JSPS), to include the Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS). The analyst will conduct and participate in action officer analysis and formulation of advice and assist in preparation and presentation of reports, briefings, and project deliverables.

Tasks include:

• Participate in analysis, coordination, and planning to develop and shape solutions to issues of NGB interest.
• Assist in assessing issues, providing timely information, and developing recommendations for NGB leaders in support of their participation in senior leader forums.
• Support developing and responding to formal staffing actions. Assist in developing, staffing, and finalizing NGB senior leader correspondence and written military advice.
• Collaborate with staff across the NGB and DoD to develop working relationships that aid in maintaining situational awareness and an updated body of knowledge on issues as well as anticipating requirements in support of NGB leaders.

• Must hold an active Secret clearance
• Must possess proven analytical and strong organizational skills
• Must be detail oriented and able to multi-task across concurrent initiatives
• Exceptional verbal and written communication and organization skills
• Strong proficiency in MS Office products
• Must be able to travel

  Preferred Skills:

• Current Top Secret clearance and eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI)
• Proficiency in DOD tasking systems
• Proficiency in the use of Advana

• Three to six years of experience working within the senior defense organizations in the Pentagon (Services, Reserve Components, Joint Staff, National Guard Bureau Joint Staff, OSD)
• Three to six years of experience in areas related to one or more major Defense and Joint processes as performed in HQDA, HAF, Joint Staff, NGB-JS and OSD.

Preferred Experience:

• Six to 10+ years of experience working within the senior defense organizations in the Pentagon (Services, Reserve Components, Joint Staff, National Guard Bureau Joint Staff, OSD.
• Six to 10+ years of experience in areas related one or more major Defense and Joint processes as performed in HQDA, HAF, Joint Staff, NGB-JS and OSD.
• Experience working with Joint Staff requirements processes.

Required Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited school by a national or regional accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
• Graduate of CGSC or ILE if former military officer, commensurate Professional Military Education if former military Warrant, Enlisted or Civil Service.

Preferred Education:

• Master’s Degree from an accredited school by a national or regional accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. Financial or accounting focus is preferred.
• Graduate of SSC if former military officer, commensurate Professional Military Education if former military Warrant, Enlisted or Civil Service.
