MILITARY & FAMILY READINESS SPECIALIST TITLE 5 INDEFINITE Job at US Army National Guard Units
Duties
The purpose of the position is to provide support in the administration of Military & Family Readiness Program services for the Army National Guard within the State Family Program. This is achieved by performing assignments designed to provide familiarity with the Family Program, community services, effective relations with supporting social service and emergency organizations, recruit and train volunteers, promote resilience and financial literacy through targeted life skills training, and the development of human resources program referral networks.

- Must be availble to operate 24/7 Emergency Family Assistance Center in the event of disater, emergencies or crisis.
- Must be willing to accept a Term (Temporary) appointment.
- At a minimum, must have a National Agency Check prior to appointment into the position.

Qualifications
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE : GS-09 - Must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 level. Experience includes serve as fully independent advisor within geographical area of responsibility in accomplishing all objectives of the Soldier & Family Readiness Program (SFRP) for the Army National Guard to maximize retention and readiness. Experience in managing and operating family assistance center and provide assistance to commands within geographical area of responsibility in support of the SFRP. Provide training and technical support to Commanders and Family Readiness Liaisons to support their Unit Family Readiness program and Soldier & Family Readiness Groups (SFRGs). Submit information to support development and budget forecasting to support the Soldier and Family Readiness Support Program to higher headquarters.
Well qualified applicants will have an in-depth knowledge of Military and Family Readiness programs and Military Structure, possess strong Case Management, Project Management and Public Speaking abilities.
