Milling Machine Operator
A successful candidate should have good math skills, knowledge of measuring devices, milling machines, or other machine tool experience.
- Provides assistance to department personnel as needed.
- Measuring and machining to proper dimensions and identifying material.
- Move and transport material as necessary.
- Inform supervisor of non-conforming product.
- Inform supervisor of equipment problems.
- Operate mobile equipment and cranes.
- Work in a safe and productive manner.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment
- Fork truck experience
- Experience in hand and power tools.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing setting is a plus.
- Steel experience is highly desired.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Ability to work irregular shifts and extended hours as required and maintain job performance standards
- Ability to safely move around in a heavy industrial plant environment: Ascending or Descending steps within the plant.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Must be able to work rotating shifts and weekends
- Lifting up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis.
