Mine Utility Specialist- Day Shift Job at Martin Marietta
Martin Marietta is looking for a Underground Mine Utility Specialist who will be responsible for providing labor and equipment operation support to ground control projects in underground mines. This includes operating loaders, drills and other mine equipment. The position will be based at the Fort Calhoun, NE Mine, but will require periodic travel to support other mines in Nebraska and Iowa.
Essential Functions
- Responsible for safe equipment operations
- Perform required safety exams and pre-shift inspections
- Ability to safety lift, carry and handle shot Crete materials
- Ability to work at heights while functioning in an elevated work position
- Operating Mobile Equipment
- Performs all work in compliance with Company safety and environmental Policies
Minimum Education and experience
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience required
- Heavy Equipment Operations
Work Environment
This job operates 100% of the time in an underground or surface mine setting. This role frequently operates heavy equipment.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position that regularly requires long hours and weekend work. Occasional travel will be required as well.
