JOB SUMMARY:

Provides customer driven solutions for special mission sales, proposals, program management, engineering, contracts, etc. Support special mission sales personnel in all technical aspects and communicate extensively with prospects and vendors regarding all Textron Aviation sales and marketing pursuits. Individual responsible for keeping abreast of current and future technology growth as it directly relates to aircraft mission capabilities.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Interface with customers, subcontractors, and suppliers to develop mission solutions and communicate them in a compact and elegant presentation package to the special mission Proposals and Sales teams
  • Analyze complex customer opportunities and provide winning strategies to SM Sales and Proposal teams
  • Maintain an extensive knowledge base and be well-versed in existing and in-development mission solutions and company kits incorporated on special mission aircraft
  • Responsible for having comprehensive knowledge of the technical aspects of all the Textron Aviation product line and competitive products
  • Serve as focal point for exchanges of technical information between Sales, Proposals and other functional areas of company and the special mission team
  • Act as liaison to Special Missions Engineering to create new solutions to customer driven requirements
  • Assist in the development of ISOWs and SSOWS during creation of new kits and modifications in support of sales opportunities
  • Write technical requirements in requests for quotes of Third Party systems, equipment, and/or engineering services
  • Lead continuous improvement to sales support tools and processes and communicate new mission capabilities to sales and proposals teams
  • Assist Marketing in strategic messaging development based on mission capabilities
  • Occasional industry tradeshow and event participation for on-site support of customer interactions
  • Participate in vendor or modifier visits and or visit their facilities to determine technical capabilities

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor degree required in
    • Business Management
    • Engineering
    • Related technical field
  • Minimum 2 years technical, business, engineering, technical marketing, sales engineering, bids and proposals, or program management experience required


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be able to work on ITAR restricted items
  • Travel requirement 15% of time, including international destinations
  • Proficient skills with Microsoft Office products, especially PowerPoint, Photoshop, and Project
  • Professional demeanor, excellent written and verbal communications skills and the ability to work with the public, customers, and interdepartmental personnel
  • Knowledge in managing large scale cross-functional project teams
  • Demonstrated multi-tasking skills with the ability to plan, organize and schedule heavy workloads
  • Leadership and team building skills
  • Experience with ITAR and export-controlled items preferred
  • FAA regulatory experience and a working knowledge of FAA processes and procedures preferred
  • Experience working with international government and foreign companies preferred
  • Capability to attain a Secret Security Clearance preferred
