Mobile Crisis Responder Overview:
ReDiscover has an opening for a Mobile Crisis Responder to work full-time (40 hours a week) Monday through Friday from 11:00 pm to 8:00 am in Lee's Summit, MO. The Mobile Crisis Responder responds in person to behavioral health crises with the goal of connecting individuals in a behavioral health crisis to services as well as reducing future crisis calls, ED visits, police involvement, and hospitalization. The Mobile Crisis Responder performs community-based interventions and crisis assessments for individuals of all ages who identify as being in a behavioral health crisis. This role requires proactive multitasking and coordination. Strategy & Planning
- Responds in-person to crisis behavioral health calls to conduct a comprehensive assessment including risk assessment, crisis intervention, recommending the appropriate level of care, and providing resources and referrals.
- Provide follow-up services including linking to services, monitoring, and crisis management. Provide information and consultation with other departments and referral sources to ensure connection to services.
- Develops intervention plans in collaboration with ReDiscover teams and other community agencies to advocate for individuals’ needs; collaborates with other providers in the development, implementation, and review of intervention plans.
- Manage and maintain accurate and timely data collection and documentation. Assist in program development-related activities including data collection, reports, conferences, and relevant trainings.

- Good written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Acts with integrity by observing ReDiscover policy/procedures, accreditation standards, laws and ethics.
- Supports the strategic goals and mission/vision/values of ReDiscover when interacting with clients, co-workers and community stakeholders.
- Contributes to the mission of ReDiscover by adjusting work priorities and duties as needed to meet unforeseen demands.
- Exhibits independent discretion and judgment with respect to matters of significance on a daily basis.

- Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in a social science-related discipline. Qualifying experience may be substituted for education.
- Working knowledge of mental illness.
- One year of direct service to the target populations or other related human service experience is preferred.
- Good written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Intermediate computer skills in typing/keyboarding, Microsoft Word and Excel programs as well as GSuite.
- High integrity by observing ReDiscover policy/procedures, accreditation standards, laws, and ethics.
- Self-driven individual with a customer service focus.
- Team-oriented and skilled in collaborating with others.
- A valid automobile operator's license, appropriate automobile insurance, and a safe, reliable, registered automobile available for use during work hours.
