Position is Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm with ability to work additional hours as needed.

Incumbent can be located anywhere within the Arvest 4 State Footprint (AR, KS, MO, OK). Remote work options may be available outside of the 4 State Footprint upon further review during the interview process.

Experience working in BlackKnights MSP/Director system preferred.

Summary:

SUMMARY : The Mortgage Servicing Manager will provide oversight and management of the assigned area(s) and work with the supervisor(s) and/or leads(s) to ensure that policies and procedures are properly carried out. Additionally, the incumbent will stay abreast of new technology, trends, and compliance initiatives along with mortgage industry changes and trends.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Direct and oversee the strategic aspects of assigned area(s) by providing direction, leadership, motivation, coaching and assessment to ensure optimum team and individual performance in support of company and department goals.
  • Serve as a primary source of information regarding job functions, including procedures and industry trends pertaining to assigned area(s). Keep abreast of investor and federally mandated changes within the mortgage banking industry. Communicate changes to team and other stakeholders in order to remain compliant. Keep informed of changes or enhancements in applicable software and technology. Evaluate processes and implement adjustments to processes as needed to improve efficiency.
  • Monitor and review areas of risk. Provide data to management along with regular trend analysis. Respond to monthly Quality Control/Compliance requests, reviews Quality Control and Quality Assurance reports for trends and areas of concern. Ensure that data requests for audits and exams are handled in a timely manner and data provided is accurate. Represent the assigned department in various audit interviews and exams, answering questions and providing additional information as needed.
  • Update and maintain information for quarterly reports, rating agency, and internal/external audit review for the assigned areas.
  • Ensure that assigned areas comply with Investor/Insurer and bank group guidelines and/or policies. Collaborate with other departments within the Mortgage Division to ensure policies and procedures align when practicable.
  • Collaborate with division leadership; provide input on any significant changes as required. Communicate with and solicit comments and suggestions from other mortgage associates. Collaborate with peers in order to achieve shared Bank or Mortgage Division goals.
  • Consult with internal compliance departments and/or legal counsel for complex issues.
  • Develop and maintain positive professional relationships with external and internal customers, such as mortgage associates, investors, insurers, attorneys, outside vendors, realtors, and others. Communicate with investors, insurers, vendors, and/or business partners regarding issues related to assigned area(s). Respond to inquiries in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Provide all customers (internal and external) with the best possible customer service. Discusses sensitive personal financial circumstances in a frank, yet tactful, manner.
  • Provide oversight and review of complaints and Qualified Written requests (QWR) tracking reports. Ensure responses to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) are accurate and meet all guidelines.
  • Understand and comply with bank policy, laws, regulations, and the bank's BSA/AML Program, as applicable to your job duties. This includes but is not limited to; complete compliance training and adhere to internal procedures and controls; report any known violations of compliance policy, laws, or regulations and report any suspicious customer and/or account activity.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Directly supervises 2 or more FTE’s as assigned by the Manager. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Ensure direct reports have completed required compliance training and are adhering to all internal procedures and controls as it relates to bank policy, laws, regulations and Arvest’s BSA/AML Program. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, appraising performance, rewarding, and disciplining associates. The incumbent has the authority and the appropriate influence to make recommendations regarding hiring, firing, advancement, promotion, or any other change of status of other associates within the guidelines of the bank’s procedures and guidelines for such change of status events. The incumbent provides training, planning, assigning, and directing work assignments and schedules; addressing complaints and resolving problems.



Responsibilities:

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent related experience required.
  • 4 years of mortgage, legal, default related or financially regulated experience required.
  • 2 years of supervisory experience required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel required.
  • FDCPA (Fair Debt Collection Practices Act) certification within 60 days required.
  • Current NMLS SAFE Act Registration or the ability to be registered within 30 days required.
  • Mortgage servicing experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of Arvest policies and procedures preferred.
