SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Supervisor will be responsible for assuring that the MST program delivers quality care to the targeted population of families of youth engaged in anti-social behavior. The Supervisor will assure program adherence to the MST model, that it complies with requirements of the county departments of human services and meets Medicaid requirements. The Supervisor will be the point of contact for stakeholders needing access to the MST program. The Supervisor may be asked to take a lead role in submitting claims and billing for Medicaid.
PERFORMANCE CRITERIA: These are the most significant performance factors involved with this position and they will be the principal factors on which the employee will be evaluated:
1. Carry out clinical and administrative supervisory responsibilities for an MST team of a minimum of two therapists.
2. Generate and manage case referrals and manage clinician caseloads.
3. Conduct weekly group supervision for MST team to assure adherence to MST principles and the MST analytic process.
4. Collaborate actively with MST clinicians around implementation of MST by the program and to ensure continued development of personal clinical skills and knowledge of relevant research.
5. Conduct individual supervision as needed to target clinician competency needs and to remove individual barriers to effective implementation of MST treatment.
6. Provide supportive and corrective feedback to clinicians to promote positive client outcomes with availability.
7. Collaborate with stakeholders, both external in the community and within the provider agency.
8. Provide administrative support targeting systemic barriers to treatment success.
9. Assure availability of clinical and administrative support to clinicians 24 hours/day, 7 days/week.
10. Supervise data collection and reporting to comply with county and MST expectations.
11. Deliver MST to a caseload of 1-2 families as required to address program needs.
12. Assure therapist accessibility to clients when needed at times most likely to promote engagement.
13. Assure that all assessments are comprehensive, multisystemic, and provide adequate information to determine the causes and correlates of referral behaviors to direct effective treatment within the ecological context.
14. Promote the MST program with referral sources and with the general public.
15. Prepare program budgets; monitor program budget activities; and prepare budget modifications as needed.
16. Ensures that all services and documentation is prepared in such a manner that it meets Department of Human Services and Medicaid requirements.
17. Complete all required Department of Humans Services training with in first 180 days of employment and obtain certification as a Colorado Child Protection Case Worker.
18. Complete all required MST training within the first 180 days employment.
19. Other duties and functions as assigned to support MST or other Peaceful Spirit programs.
Requirements:
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
1. Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.
2. Significant clinical experience in treating serious antisocial behavior in youth.
3. Experience providing behavioral therapy targeting school behavior and academic performance.
4. Experience providing direct use of pragmatic (i.e. structural, strategic and functional) family therapies.
5. Must be able to be credentialed/paneled as a Medicaid provider.
6. Must pass Criminal History and Child Abuse/Neglect background checks.
7. Must have a valid Driver’s License and Proof of Vehicle Insurance and remain current thereafter.
QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED:
1. Licensed as LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LAC, or Clinical Psychologist.
2. Familiarity and experience with the following therapies:
a. Individual therapy with children and adults using cognitive behavioral techniques.
b. Marital therapy using behaviorally-based approaches
c. Implementation of interventions within or between systems in the youth’s natural ecology that affect or influence the
behavior of youth (i.e. family, peer, school, and neighborhood).
d. Provision of group and individual clinical supervision
e. Systems theory and application
f. Social ecological theory and application
g. Behavioral therapies theory and application
h. Cognitive-behavioral therapy theory and application
i. Pragmatic family therapies theory and application
j. Child development research and it’s application in treatment
3. Experience providing social skills assessment and intervention.
4. Substance Use Disorder Licensure; CAC or LAC.
5. Resides in Montezuma/Dolores Counties or a willing to relocate.
