Position Summary:

Under the direction of the Skilled Trades Supervisor, performs electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, repairs, installation, and modification, general and preventative maintenance for all equipment and facilities.

Hiring for all shifts:

Starting wage is $29.00 per hour. Shift differential for 2nd shift at $1.00 per hour and for 3rd shift is .35 cents per hour.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Repairs, modifies, installs or removes equipment, systems or facilities as required or directed. Must be familiar with basic design and operation of applicable mechanical, pneumatic and electrical systems.

• Uses electrical/electronic measuring and testing equipment as needed.

• Operates hand tools and machine shop equipment (drill press, band saws, grinders, hydraulic press, and welding machines).

• Performs preventative maintenance as required.

• Works directly with various types of greases, oils, solvents, paints or other lubricants.

• Follows safety/health regulations required for the position.

• Participates in training as required.

• Ensures Housekeeping and Health & Safety Standard are maintained.

• Complies with policies and procedures pertaining to facility or divisional adopted standards such as IATF 16949 and ISO 14001.

• Utilizes the concepts of continuous improvement and cost reduction in the execution of the job function.

Education and Qualifications:

• Must be able to successfully pass the multi craft & welding assessment test.

• Technical degree or equivalent experience.

• Familiarity with operation of hand tools and machine equipment (drill press, band saws, grinders, hydraulic presses and welding machines).

• Experience in pneumatics, hydraulics, basic electrical/PLC functions and mechanical applications.

• 3-5 years industrial maintenance experience preferred.

Work Environment/Work Conditions:

• Manufacturing plant exposure

• Must wear proper personal protection equipment while on manufacturing floor

• Equipment used requires proper training on the potential for and avoidance of injury
