Municipal Construction - Project Manager #2093 Job at Ayres Associates

On any given day, you ll:
- Manage construction services contracts including documentation of contractor daily activities, quantity measurement, materials testing, and general inspection for municipal and utility projects.
- Supervise a team of municipal Ayres construction inspectors on multiple projects.
- Prepare reports, plans, and specifications; research design standards and code requirements and conduct field investigation of design problems.
- Assist the project manager with design engineering duties.
- Gather and analyze data on municipal and commercial projects and prepare reports.
Required Qualifications:
- 5 or more years of construction management and observation experience.
- Progressive experience managing municipal/utility construction projects.
- Ability to create and maintain working relationships with clients.
- Experience identifying and securing client/project opportunities and maintaining clients and repeat work.
- Ability to supervise multiple construction inspectors on different construction sites.
- Some travel within the state is expected.
- A valid driver s license and good driving record.
Desired skills and experiences:
- A bachelor's degree in an applicable field.
- PE license preferred.
- Beneficial experience includes Field Manager, Civil3D, AutoCAD and other engineering software, and materials testing.
