Summary
The City of Kings Mountain is seeking a Natural Gas Apprentice to join our team of utility professionals. And, while we will train entry level candidates, experience in the natural gas industry is a definite plus.

Performs (as a member of a crew) responsible semi-skilled and skilled work in the construction, installation, maintenance and repair of the City’s natural gas facilities.

This position provides a vertical career ladder opportunity that may allow the selected candidate to advance to a higher job title and pay with obtaining of additional knowledge, skills, abilities, responsibilities and experience during the course of employment. Minimum Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or equivalent;
• Ability to work regularly and to perform manual labor in all weather conditions;
• Some knowledge of the use of common hand and power tools required in the work;
• Valid NC driver’s license and good driving record.

Work Schedule
Monday - Friday, 7am – 3:30pm Paid Weekly

24 hour, on-call duty rotation
