Encore Technologies is seeking a Network Analyst to implement and troubleshoot computer networks. These include Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), Wireless Local Area Networks (WLAN/Wi-Fi), and the Internet.

• 6-12 month contract opportunity
• Need to be located near the Louisville KY area but will primarily a work-from-home role

Responsibilities:

• Perform system administration tasks, and duties such as network design, network implementations, and network troubleshooting of outages and/or performance issues

• Monitor cabling requests and impact on available resources

• Install and maintain infrastructure hardware and cabling

• Analyze Network performance and troubleshoot issues within the network

• Utilize network troubleshooting tools, including Wireshark

• Provide resolution for network problems

• Plan and evaluate existing network systems

• Recommend resources required to maintain and/or expand network service levels

• Research, acquire and install microcode to keep switches, router and hubs at the most reliable level 15%

• Collaborate with Service providers, remote sites and vendors to install and maintain data communications between the data center and off-premises users

• Determine the needs as the network grows and plan out new cable drops, equipment and Data Communications closets

• Monitor system performance

• Identify and solve data communication problems

• Perform equipment repairs and replacement

Qualifications:

• Experience with Cisco switching and at least some experience with Aruba/HP switching, Aruba wireless, and ClearPass for NAC

• Experience with performing network cabling and rack and stack of network equipment

• Experience with Wireshark, network communication troubleshooting tool

• CCNA highly preferred

• Effective communication skills, verbally and written

• Ability to work in a team environment with analysts, management, vendors and customers
