We are currently seeking a Network/Systems Engineer for our southwest Virginia IT solutions team. This position works on both individual client projects (installations and support) as well as ongoing managed services programs. The Position
This position reports directly to the Division Technical Operations Manager in our Bluefield, Virginia location. He/she is responsible for project management, configuration, installation, post-sale maintenance and systems administration of client networks. This key technical position requires both remote and field service support. Standard work week is M-F, 8am to 5pm with some required after-hours work for on-call and scheduled installations.

Requirements for this position include:

• A physical location within a 1-hour drive of our Bluefield, Virginia office location. Some regional field service work at client locations necessary.
• Experience and proficiency in the support of information technology products within the areas of Server Virtualization (VMware), Microsoft Server OS, Storage (SANS/NAS), Microsoft Cloud Services including M365, Azure and Intune, data networking and security.
• Industry certifications in VMware, Microsoft OS and Cloud Services, routing, switching, wireless, and security products (in progress or completed) desired. Will consider equivalent work experience in lieu of certifications.
• Working knowledge of switching/routing protocols and features, VLANs, ACLs, QoS, loop prevention, and link-aggregation.
• Experience installing, configuring, and supporting security products such as firewalls, IPS/IDS systems, VPN concentrators, and secure email systems.
• High level of organization and ability to successfully manage projects and complex network implementations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills including the confidence to explain the basics of technology and product usage.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to think independently and formulate solutions.

Candidates must be capable of completing a criminal background verification with satisfactory results and have a clean driving record.
