Jacobs is looking for a Network Engineer to design, deploy, and maintain highly available networks to support a delivery of a customized infrastructure to a government customer. The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience working with classified networks.
Responsibilities:
This position would be supporting our KnackWorks team, requiring extensive coordination with Government customers and their representatives, as well as internal coordination with multiple matrixed teams to ensure successful deliveries.

Here’s What You’ll Need:- Active TS/SCI with Full Polygraph required.
- Bachelors in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a similar degree, or equivalent years relevant experience.
- Ability to create technical, instructional or overview documentation for equipment, circuit layouts, and networks.
- Experience in IP network design, test, and implementation.
- Experience with Network Security appliances, such as; Cisco ASA firewall & Cisco Firepower Threat Defense.
- Experience with routing platforms from Cisco and Juniper and routing protocols including BGP, MPLS and Segment Routing.
- Experience with network monitoring/troubleshooting/packet capture, such as Solarwinds suite and Wireshark.
- Must be willing to work on-site in Northern Virginia.
Preferred:
- Experience working with Cisco routers, switches and firewalls.
- Current DoD 8570 IAT II Certification (Security+) or higher certification or ability to obtain certification within 4 weeks of starting role.
