Network Services Engineer II Job at Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance
We are looking for someone to:
- Perform second and third-level technical support for the Network Services team on data, voice and video software and hardware solutions.
- Provide advanced troubleshooting and configuration of switches, routers, phones, wiring, load balancing, firewall and other data/voice technologies.
- Work with technologies such as: Data – Local and Wide Area networks, Internet connectivity, Wireless network; Voice – VOIP, ACD, Voicemail.
- Architect and design new technologies to incorporate within the environment.
- Create and develop 5-year plans with budget considerations to maintain and enhance the network to meet current and future business needs.
Requirements for Success:
- Requires a minimum of eight years’ experience in data or voice telecommunications and/or college-level education, with a bachelor’s level degree preferred.
- Requires good customer service skills along with in-depth knowledge of routing protocols for problem diagnosis and resolution.
- Must possess in-depth technical and administrative knowledge of data or voice equipment systems of the Companies and the ability to quickly troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Requires heavy customer contact; Tact, diplomacy, and ability to maintain composure in handling internal and external clients and in everyday job responsibilities.
- Flexibility and adaptability in working with various individuals during emotional and conflicting situations by establishing and maintaining effective relationships and gaining trust and respect.
- Must be skilled in attentive and active listening; patience to hear people out and accurately restating the comments of others.
