PAYROLL STATUS: Hourly - Non-Exempt - Union - Base Rate $12.86

REPORTS TO: Machine Shop Supervisor

SUMMARY: Understands and reinforces the Company vision of being the best producer of steel pipe and tube in North America. Responsible for some aspects of production-related machining required to produce finished product. This is a starting point to become a machinist at Bull Moose Industries.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Run & set up CNC mill to make all samples.
• Be able to navigate software
• Other duties as periodically assigned

OTHER ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Ability to:

• Participate in a variety of activities in the repair.
• Provide general estimates of time and materials on routine jobs.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical device, system, and equipment malfunctions.
• Replace defective parts and components as necessary.
• Read and work from plans, blueprints, sketches, specifications and diagrams of electrical work.
• Observe health and safety regulations and procedures.
• Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
• Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others.
• Meet schedules and timelines.
• Understand and follow oral and written instructions.
• Work independently with little direction.
• Maintain various records related to work performed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to pass Basic Blueprint test
• Ability to do heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds)
• Ability to set-up and run CNC mill and navigate software
• Ability to operate a forklift
• Either Certificate of completion from CNC classes or 1 year of experience on CNC mills
• Work well in a team-based environment

REQUIREMENTS:

• 
  High School Diploma or GED
• 1 year experience of CNC required / or CNC course certificate
• Strong verbal and math skills
• Ability to read a tape measure, micrometer, calipers
• Able to work overtime and/or various shifts
• Able to work in an environment without climate control

• Impact wrench which weighs7lbs used approximately 2 or 3 times a day. Power wrench, brass hammer, screwdriver, handheld tools. When problems arise, maintenance comes to perform repairs with various tools.
• Hand Tools - Pry bars- large wrenches
• Machines- use of a press for crushing tube samples
• Lathes, grinders, presses, saws
