SALARY RANGE: $21-$22/hr DOE

ABOUT THE ROLE
The Access Center Intake Coordinator will support the flow and responsibilities of Access Center programming, case management services, and clinical services. This role is an integral part of services at SPY.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Support Access Center case management and clinical teams in workflow, day to day operations, and programing of the Access Center
- Run front desk operations ensuring members are connected with needed programs and services
- Conduct intakes, assess needs, and make referrals/case assignments for new youth to virtual services/programs such as emergency shelter, housing case management, mental health services, education and employment services, pregnant and parenting services, and other SPY programs and outside agencies as applicable
- Exhibit compassion and empathy for unhoused youth through utilizing a youth-centered, harm reduction, trauma-informed, and housing-first approach
- Provide mediation, de-escalation, and other crisis interventions to youth as needed
- Participate in a team approach to supporting youth-driven treatment plans
- Work within the Coordinated Entry System (CES), utilizing HMIS/Clarity and SPY databases
to track and record data
- Prepare data collection and analysis, monthly reports, and program administration duties in a timely fashion
- Advocate by attending external community meetings with government agencies and community groups as applicable
- Work collaboratively across internal departments and assist with general SPY programming as needed
- Work within established legal and ethical guidelines
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
- 2+ years experience or equivalent education in psychology, sociology, social work, or related field
- 1+ years in experience providing direct services to high-risk youth
- Working knowledge of child and adolescent social, emotional, and cognitive development, trauma informed care and harm reduction service model
- A commitment to and passion for the mission, vision, values and culture of SPY
- A self-starter who is prepared to drive innovative solutions for an emerging organization
- An ability to work in a fast paced environment that requires effective collaboration with a variety of organizations and individuals
- Must possess great communication and organizational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Drive, and Slack
- Must have reliable transportation, valid California driver's license and proof of current insurance.
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Changes in the environment, such as the office or outdoors.
- Physical effort/lifting, such as sedentary- up to 15-20 pounds at times.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS:
Mandated Reporting Requirements: The person holding this position is considered a ‘mandated reporter’ under the California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act and is required to comply with the requirements set forth in CSU Executive Order 1083 Revised July 21, 2017 as a condition of employment.
COVID-19 Vaccination Requirements: In an effort to stem the significant increase in COVID-19 positive tests as a result of the Delta variant, the State Health Officer has issued an order, which went into effect on August 9, 2021, requiring paid and unpaid workers of homeless services organizations to provide proof of vaccination and/or booster (if eligible for the booster shot) or participate in weekly COVID-19 testing if still not fully vaccinated. Failure to provide proof of vaccination will require the candidate to produce a negative test result within 72 hours of their first day of employment and commit to weekly testing.
