POSITION SUMMARY
The Laboratory Technician, Uncertified will perform patient testing in conformance with state and federal regulatory guidelines.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The Laboratory Technician, Uncertified will perform patient testing in conformance with state and federal regulatory guidelines.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Follow the laboratory’s procedures for specimen handling and processing, test analyses, reporting and maintaining records of patient test results.
- Operate multiple testing platforms.
- Perform lot to lot verification/validation
- Perform Maintenance, QC and Calibration of multiple testing platforms
- Adheres to the laboratory’s quality control policies, document all quality control activities.
- Follow the laboratory’s established policies and procedures whenever test systems are not within the laboratory’s established acceptable levels of performance.
- Identify and correct problems that may adversely affect test performance or reporting of test results.
- Performs verification / validation (modified FDA) for reagent, equipment and testing platforms, following regulatory guidelines and procedures.
- Participates in regulatory agency inspection readiness and onsite inspections.
- Other duties as assigned

Required:
- Associates Degree in laboratory science, or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution or
- At least 60 semester hours, or equivalent, from an accredited institution that include:

- Willingness to maintain confidential information
- This position is full-time
- No travel is required with this position
